Clear away any clutter surrounding your furnace and vacuum up dust or debris that settled in over the winter. You can also wipe down the outside of the unit to reduce the buildup of grime.

Believe it or not, the warmer weather can be hard on your furnace’s filter and duct system. Most people like to open their windows during the warmer weather to let some fresh air into their home.
